SIT Safe AS was established the 24th of February 1998 in Frosta in central Norway.

The company took over the rights for a solution that could transform a passenger seat in public transport (e.g. bus, railway) into a safety seat for children.

During 1998, we investigated the technical and commercial possibilities of the product.

In January 1999, SIT Safe AS signed a letter of intent with an industrial partner in Trondheim concerning development of TiltBack™.

The same year FEM Engineering AS was involved as a development partner.

So far, there are invested several MNOK in product and market development.

The Norwegian regional development fund (SND) and The Research Council of Norway (NFR) have contributed with part of the amount.
